Booking in for your procedure Pre-op assessment Arriving for your procedure Post-op care

If you are booked in for a Pre-Op assessment, you will need to come to the ward prior to your procedure at an agreed date and time. When you arrive, a Pre-Op nurse will take you to a private consulting room and undergo some tests, which can include heart monitoring and blood tests. You will also have received a Pre-Op questionnaire in the post to bring along to your appointment, so make sure you fill it out and give it to the nurse. This is to make sure that you are in optimum health before undergoing surgery. Not everyone requires a Pre-Op assessment so please do not worry if you have not been contacted.

Pre-Op Assessments clinic, Monday to Friday 9.00am-5.00pm.

Evening and weekend appointments are available on request.

If you can no longer make the appointment, please contact us and a nurse will be happy to schedule a further appoinment at a more convienient time and date.
