Dr Boyd was appointed consultant physician and cardiologist at Frimley Park in 1982 after training in cardiology at the London, National Heart and St George’s Hospitals.
He was responsible for developing Coronary Care services and non-invasive cardiology facilities at Frimley as well as undertaking a number of administrative roles including Medical Director. He has built up an extensive experience of cardiological investigation and treatment. |

He was awarded a British Heart Foundation Fellowship to research the molecular basis of ischaemic heart failure, at St Thomas' Hospital, leading to the award of a PhD. He completed his training with a fellowship in interventional cardiology back at St George's Hospital. |
